Postgraduate Student Opportunities

The Centre of Applied Science for Health welcomes enquires at any time from qualified graduates with a keen interest in pursuing a research qualification to Level 9 (M.Sc.) of Level 10 (Ph.D.). Positions become available at throughout the year as new funding is won by CASH principal Investigators.

Specific areas of interest include studies on:

  • Host-microbe interactions - Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Immunology / Toxicology

  • Synthetic organic/inorganic chemistry - organic chemistry / inorganic chemistry / analytical chemistry

  • Biomedical devices - physical chemistry / physics / engineering

  • Industrial science - Fermentation / Formulation / Process Analytical Technologies

To pursue a postgraduate qualification, applicants must hold a minimum of the Irish/British B.Sc. (Hons) with a 2:2 classification or equivalent international qualification. ITT Dublin also requires that foreign nationals for whom English is not a first language provide a certificate of competence in English (IELTS score of >6.0 or equivalent).

Commencement of the C.A.S.H. Research Facility | 02 September 2010

Construction of a new 1350 sqm resrch facility for the Centre of Applied Science for Health commenced in July of 2010. The building is due to open in March 2011. Read more

Process Analytical Technology | 02 September 2010

C.A.S.H. researchers with support from the Enterprise Ireland Instituties of Technology Research Equipment Grant scheme, provide Process Analytical Technology (PAT)platform at ITT Dublin to support R&D relating to the adoption and implementation of PAT's in the bio/pharmaceutical industry. The platform is also availabe to industry based researchers seeking to develop PAT methodologies and/or test PAT capabilities in relation to their own processes.
